Brixton Businesses 'Lock-Down' in Protest at the Council's ice rink plans

Business across the market Locked-Down this afternoon in protest at the Council's plans to build Tesco's icerink on the market's carpark.
Traders and shopkeepers walked to the Town Hall to hand in a petition of 300+ businesses to Cllr Sally Prentice, Cabinet member for Regeneration, and then went to the library to see the Future Brixton exhibition of the proposed ice rink for Pope's Road and tell the council officers their view of the plans.
