Meet the Market event
13/07/2009
On July 13th, FBM hosted a "Meet the Market" event at Lambeth Town hall.
This was an attempt to build cross party support for Brixton Market in advance of next year's Lambeth elections.
Representatives of Labour, Greens, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives were all there meeting traders from the market and volunteers from Friends of Brixton Market.
Traders from the market laid out a fantastic spread of food that showed the full diversity of what's on offer.
The Mayor and Levi Roots both gave empassioned speeches about the importance of the market.
